Teen Exec Launches Podcast to Help Teens Build Leadership and Executive Functioning Skills

Weston, Mass. – Aug. 28, 2025 – Teen Exec, a nonprofit dedicated to helping young people build leadership and executive functioning skills, has launched the Teen Exec Podcast. Hosted by Natalya Lucas, a Weston High School sophomore and founder of Teen Exec, the podcast explores the real-life skills students need to thrive in school, leadership, and beyond.

The Teen Exec Podcast will feature two tracks. In one track, Natalya co-hosts with Dr. Stacy Smith, a physician and professor, to interview leaders from education, business, athletics, and the arts, with a focus on how executive functioning skills shape their success. In the other track, Natalya teams up with Jeff Lucas, a former marketing executive, for conversations about the practical skills student leaders need to thrive in school and beyond.

“Our workshops have shown how much students benefit from learning these skills early,” said Natalya Lucas, host of the podcast. “With the podcast, we can expand access so even more teens hear real stories and practical advice that help them take charge of their time, decisions, and goals.”

The inaugural episode features an interview with Dr. Karen Zaleski, superintendent of Weston Public Schools, who shares advice on how teens can manage their time, make thoughtful choices, and balance well-being. Future episodes will highlight leaders across different fields, offering teens a variety of perspectives on what it takes to lead with confidence and purpose.

The Teen Exec Podcast is available at teenexec.com/podcast and can be found on Apple Podcasts, Spotify Podcasts, and YouTube Podcasts.
